At Parla Deniz Beauty, our beauty salon in Nişantaşı, Istanbul, nail care covers classic manicures, gel polish, nail extensions, nail art and pedicures for your hands and feet. Every appointment is planned around your nails, your everyday routine and the look you love.
These services are for anyone who likes their nails to look cared for every day, wants to save time before a busy week, is looking for a design for a special occasion, or simply wants a quiet hour to themselves. We never rush a session: the attention given to your hands and feet is the most enjoyable part of the experience.
How a session works
Every appointment begins with a short chat. We look at your nails as they are today and talk through the length, shape and colour you would like. Then we carry on with the service you have chosen.
Classic manicure
- Any old polish is gently removed.
- Nails are filed to the shape and length you prefer.
- Cuticles are softened and neatly tidied.
- Your hands are moisturised, with a short hand massage.
- Polish is applied, if you would like it.
Gel polish
- The nail surface is cleaned and prepared.
- A base coat goes on first, then colour in thin layers.
- Each layer is set under an LED or UV lamp.
- A glossy or matte top coat finishes the look.
Your gel polish is fully dry when you leave, so you can get straight back to your day.
Nail extensions
Nail extensions build the length and shape you want using a material applied over your natural nail.
- Your natural nails are cleaned, shaped and prepared.
- The extension material is applied layer by layer and set.
- Each nail is shaped to the form you want and the surface is smoothed.
- The set is finished with colour, nail art or a natural-looking finish.
As your nails grow, a gap appears between the natural nail and the extension. This is filled at your infill appointments.
Nail art
Nail art is the patterns, fine lines and embellishments added on top of gel polish or extensions. From a single minimal line to a design for a special occasion, you are welcome to share pictures you like with us before your appointment.
Pedicure
- Your feet relax in a warm water soak.
- Nails are trimmed and shaped, and cuticles are tidied.
- Dry, hardened skin on heels and soles is gently cared for.
- Your feet are moisturised, with a short foot massage.
- Classic polish or gel polish is applied, if you would like it.
How long it takes and how often
Timings vary from person to person, depending on the condition of your nails, the service you choose and your design. As a general guide:
- Gel polish: around 40 minutes to 1 hour
- Nail extensions, first set: around 1.5-2 hours
- Nail extension infill: usually 45-75 minutes
For a classic manicure or pedicure, we will let you know the timing when you book.
Gel polish usually lasts 2-3 weeks on hands, and often a little longer on toes. For nail extensions, an infill is usually recommended every 2-3 weeks. How quickly your nails grow and how much you use your hands will affect these intervals, and we will plan a routine that suits you together.
Preparation and aftercare
Before your appointment
- If you are wearing old gel polish or extensions, please do not scrape or pull them off at home. Let us remove them at the salon, and mention it when you book so we can plan the right amount of time.
- If you have a design in mind, you can send us pictures by email beforehand.
- If you are choosing classic polish for your pedicure, open-toed shoes or sandals will help it dry without smudging.
- If you have a cut, irritation or anything else on your hands or feet we should know about, please let us know in advance.
After your appointment
- With gel polish, we suggest avoiding very hot water for the first 24 hours.
- Wear gloves when washing up or cleaning.
- Apply cuticle oil or hand cream regularly.
- Try not to use your nails as tools, for example to open cans or scrape off labels.
- With extensions, keeping to your infill schedule makes lifting and breakage less likely.
- When it is time for removal, come back to the salon: pulling extensions off at home puts strain on your natural nails.
Please check with us first
Nail services are cosmetic care carried out on the surface of the nail. Even so, in some situations it is better to postpone, or to speak to your doctor first. Please message us before your appointment if:
- There is redness, swelling, or a change in colour or texture on or around the nail
- You have an open cut, graze or irritation on your hands or feet
- You have reacted to polish, gel or acrylic products before
- You have a known blood sugar or circulation condition, especially before a pedicure
In these cases we may postpone the session and suggest you speak to your doctor first. We want your nails to look good in the long run too, and postponing an appointment is never a problem for us.

If you are staying in or near Nişantaşı, send us a message before you drop by and we will suggest a time during your stay. Gel polish is dry before you leave, which makes it an easy choice ahead of a flight, and if you arrive with extensions done elsewhere, just mention it when you message so we can plan time for removal or an infill.

Frequently asked questions
Does gel polish damage your nails?
When it is applied well and removed properly at the salon, your nails are less likely to become worn. Scraping or peeling gel polish off at home, on the other hand, can damage the nail surface, so we recommend having it removed with us.
How long does gel polish last?
On hands it usually lasts 2-3 weeks, and on toes it often stays a little longer. This varies with your nails, how much you use your hands and how you look after them afterwards.
How long does a first set of nail extensions take?
A first set takes around 1.5-2 hours, depending on the length, shape and design you choose. Infill appointments after that are shorter.
How often do nail extensions need an infill?
Usually every 2-3 weeks. If your nails grow quickly or you use your hands a lot, a slightly shorter gap can help, and we will plan a routine that suits you together.

I am only in Istanbul for a few days. Can I still book?
Yes. Message us with your dates and the service you would like, and we will suggest the times we have available during your stay.
There is redness or discolouration around my nail. Can I still come in?
Please message us before your appointment. If there is redness, swelling, discolouration or an open cut on or around the nail, we will postpone the session and suggest you speak to your doctor first.
