At Parla Deniz Beauty, our device-assisted serum facial is a personalised facial in which serums chosen for your skin are worked in gently from the surface of the skin with the help of a skincare device. We offer it at our beauty salon in Nişantaşı, Istanbul. The aim is to help your skin look more hydrated, fresher and more rested.
The session is quiet and unhurried. It can be a restful pause in the middle of a busy day, or a busy trip. Afterwards, your skin may feel fresh and soft.
This facial is designed particularly for:
- Skin that looks dull, tired or dehydrated
- Anyone who wants to add one more step to their regular skincare
- Those who prefer a gentle option in which the skin is not pierced
- Anyone who wants to rest their skin before a special occasion
- Sensitive skin that needs a gentle approach (please check with us first)
How does a session work?
Every session begins with getting to know your skin. At your first visit we talk about what your skin needs, the products you use and what you are hoping for, and we plan the session around that.
We explain each step as we go, so there are no surprises. A session usually follows these steps:
- Cleansing: Your make-up is removed, and your skin is gently cleansed and prepared with a toner.
- Choosing the serum: Based on how your skin is that day, we choose a serum focused on hydration, radiance or balance.
- Working it in with the device: The serum is applied to your face and neck. The device head is moved slowly over your skin to help work the serum in. You may feel a light tingling at this stage; it is not expected to hurt.
- Finishing: The session ends with a soothing mask or calming care. For daytime sessions, the last step is sunscreen.
We check in with you throughout. If anything feels uncomfortable at any point, we pause and adjust the session to suit you. After your first session, we look together at how your skin has responded and shape any further sessions around that.
Timing and frequency
A session usually takes about an hour. The time may vary a little depending on the steps involved and what your skin needs. You can go straight back to your day afterwards; there is no need to rest.
How often you come depends on you. In general:
- A programme of regular sessions a few weeks apart is usually suggested.
- Once the programme is complete, you can continue at longer intervals.
- You can book it as a single session on its own or as one step of our Professional Facials.
We plan the programme that suits you best at your first visit, based on your skin and your schedule. How your skin’s appearance changes varies with skin type and regularity, so we do not promise a set number of sessions or a set timeframe.
Preparation and aftercare
You do not need to do much to prepare. A few small steps help the session go smoothly.
Before your session:
- For the last few days, take a break from retinol and products with a high acid content.
- Let us know which skincare products you use before your appointment.
- You are welcome to arrive wearing make-up; we cleanse your skin at the start of the session.
- It is best not to have facial waxing or strong exfoliation in the days before your session.
After your session:
- On the day, wash your face gently with lukewarm water, and avoid rubbing your skin for the first 24 hours.
- That day, avoid saunas, steam rooms, the hammam, very hot places and intense exercise.
- Avoid facial waxing or other hair removal on the face for a few days.
- Wear sunscreen whenever you go out in the sun.
The slight pinkness that sensitive skin may show usually fades quickly. At the end of the session we also give you a short home-care suggestion for your skin. Simple steps at home help support the care you have had in the salon. If anything is on your mind in the days after your session, you are welcome to message us.
Check with us first
If any of the following applies to you, please message us before you book. We will consider together whether this facial is right for you and, where needed, suggest that you check with your doctor.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- A pacemaker or any other electronic device in your body
- Epilepsy
- Open wounds, an active cold sore or irritation on the skin
- Another recent service on your face (for example, strong exfoliation)
- Regular use of retinol or acid-based skincare

Visiting Istanbul?
If you are staying in or near Nişantaşı for a short time, you can book this facial as a single session; it does not need to be part of a programme. Message us before you come and we will tell you when we can see you. As the hammam and sauna are best avoided on the day of your session, you may want to plan them for another day of your trip.

Frequently asked questions
Is the skin punctured?
No. The device head glides gently over the surface of your skin and the serum is worked in from the surface; the skin is not pierced.
Does it hurt?
It is not expected to hurt. You may feel a light tingling while the device is working. We check how you feel throughout the session and pause straight away if anything feels uncomfortable.
Will my skin look red afterwards?
Sensitive skin may look slightly pink. This usually fades quickly. At the end of the session we give you a short suggestion about make-up and skincare for the rest of the day.
How many sessions will I need?

How is it different from a classic facial?
In a classic facial, serum is applied by hand or with massage. In this facial, the serum is worked into the skin with the help of a device. You can book it as a session on its own or as one step of a professional facial.
Which serums do you use?
We choose the serum for what your skin needs, such as hydration, radiance or balance. We make the choice at the start of the session after looking at your skin, and we tell you why we have chosen it.
Can I have it while pregnant or breastfeeding?
We do not offer device-assisted services during pregnancy or breastfeeding. We are happy to talk with you about a simpler facial that suits this time; just message us before you book.
I am only in Istanbul for a few days. Can I still book?
Yes. You can book this facial as a single session on its own. Message us with the dates of your stay and we will let you know when we can see you. It is best to get in touch as early as you can.
